Using her voice and platform, she was the visionary behind the Emmy Award-winning series “Rooted,” at WFAA where she not only shared her personal story but also amplified the voices of those marginalized due to their natural hair texture. Tashara's dedication extended beyond storytelling as she played a pivotal role in championing the CROWN ACT—a groundbreaking law prohibiting race-based hair discrimination. She stood front and center testifying multiple times before Texas lawmakers in support of the bill culminating in the bipartisan passage of the law in September 2023, marking a significant milestone in her commitment to tangible change.
Through her unapologetic storytelling and journalistic advocacy, Tashara graces screens each morning, challenging societal norms as a news personality. Breaking barriers in content and appearance, she embodies the idea that news doesn’t conform to preconceived notions.
She has been recognized as Dallas' Best News Anchor in 2022 by D Magazine, a 2-time winner of the Best of Black Dallas Journalist award from the Dallas Weekly, and the recipient of the National CROWN Coalition Award for POWER from the creators of The CROWN Act. These honors, coupled with the Texas Association of Broadcasters AP Award for Best Documentary and 4 Emmy Awards among 14 nominations, underscore her unwavering dedication to impactful storytelling. Prior to Dallas, Tashara worked at both CBS and NBC stations across the state of Texas.

She is currently on the advisory committee for Mid-Michigan Health/U of M hospital board. Byron’s prior experience includes 14 years of working in Commercial Property and Casualty insurance sales. Byron developed his strong business acumen through his experience helping business and property owners alike. Byron’s ability to assist property owners through soft and hard markets and navigate the nuances of premium savings and loss control strategies have proven a key driver of NOI and investment performance. His experience in P&C insurance, real estate finance, and tenure with GREA, equip him as needed to advise investors through market cycles, and the critical decision-making process to maximize returns from acquisition through disposition. The key to Byron’s success is putting his client’s needs first.
Byron attended Collin College where he earned his Associate of Arts in Business with summa cum laude honors. After Collin College Byron attended Southern Methodist University and graduated with a BBA in real estate finance from the Cox School of Business. Byron is a proud father of his daughter, Evie Griffith. When Byron is not selling real estate, he can be found spending time with his family.

In the spring of 2020, Denise authored an autobiography entitled “From Broke To Broker” in which she peels back the curtain and shares some of the most sought-after success secrets in the real estate business. This once small-town star grew-up as the middle child in a working-class household of eight but decided early on that she would one day control her own financial destiny – she has done just that. As the first in her family to go to college, Denise obtained a BA in Finance from Valdosta State University and then secured a Dual MBA in International Business and Supply Chain/Logistics Management, all while mothering a young son and closing real estate deals between classes. “From Broker To Broker” offers readers an inside look at what it took for her to journey from small-town poverty to scaling repeatable profits in one of the nation’s most competitive markets.
Denise has shared her story with readers and listeners all over the world via news media features and interviews. Her work in the industry led her to be inaugurated into the Atlanta Realtors’ Association 2020 Class of Emerging Leaders as well as inducted into the highly competitive ULI Real Estate Association Program (REAP) commercial real estate academy, which focuses of training a select group of individuals on how to acquire, sell, and invest in commercial real estate. Denise was named as the Real Estate Expert of the Year in Jan 2022 as well as recognized as a Finalist for the Women of Stature Global Awards in Dubai that same year.
In March of 2022, Denise became the first black American woman to open an independent real estate brokerage in Dubai. By 2023, she merged with one of the largest real estate companies in the world with over 90,000 active agents in all 50 states and 24 countries. She is the first American to join the team in the region to help the company expand across the Middle East. Julian is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point where he earned a degree in Economics and served as a captain of the Army basketball team. Prior to joining WestPac Wealth Partners, Julian served as an active-duty Army Officer for 8 years; deploying to multiple operations in Afghanistan, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, and Qatar. He currently serves as a Captain in the US Army Reserves.
Julian brings a unique perspective to WestPac Wealth Partners clients. His previous experience in the military and current experience as a multi-business owner, partner and Chief Financial Officer of Band of Brothers Investment Group has led to knowledge in multiple asset classes as well as risk management strategies. His immersion in a variety of locations has connected him to clients and their families across the country. He possesses the management skills that have led to strategic financial investments in numerous areas, such as real estate, private equity, capital investments, and ownership in multi-industry businesses. Julian’s passion is to share and assist others in building legacy wealth through effective strategies. Born and raised in Honolulu, Chris graduated from Punahou School in 2005 and obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Hawaii at Mānoa in 2009. He pursued his medical doctorate at Loma Linda University in Southern California before making a professional transition to financial services in 2014.
It is Chris’ experience that people underestimate how important they are to their children, spouse, and the world. It is his mission to do all that he can to ensure the financial independence and well-being of the people around him so that they can continue to serve their family and communities they are a part of. He does this by discovering where his clients are emotionally and financially, removing the guess work out of planning, and helping clients focus on the things within their control in their financial lives.
Chris specializes in working with physicians and healthcare professionals. He works with the American College of Physicians, Hawaii Academy of Family Physicians, Hawaii Medical Association, John A. Burns School of Medicine, Philippine Medical Association of Hawaii, and State of Reform to serve this unique industry that focuses on helping and serving others. They work tirelessly healing sickness, maintaining health, and preventing illness.
Chris is very much involved in the community. He is a proud member of the National Association of Insurance and Finance Advisers, Association for Advanced Life Underwriting, a board member of the Punahou Alumni Association, and an ordained leader of the Central Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Alongside his professional life, Chris loves to spend time with his fiancé Erica traveling to new cities, trying new places to eat, and golfing.

Jason started his business in 2008. He didn’t reap the dividends of his work until 2011. It took three years to get his first contract because, in the beginning, all he had was a Ph.D., public high school diploma, an interest, and an ethic. Without any guidance or help, he used that formula to become the mentor he thought he needed. Now, he is the conduit between government entities, their representatives, and you.
Before he began this journey he had never worked for the federal government and had no prior knowledge of the federal government’s internal protocol. Yet, he’s secured over 250 plus federal government contracts, more than 32 of which are ongoing for at least the next four years, and the number continues to grow. Given his extensive experience, Jason has the skill sets, relationships, rapport, and resumé to be a mentor for others who seek to win government contracts.

Taisei Lee was born on the island of Oahu on March 12th, 1984 to a Japanese American Mother and an African American Father, in Honokai Hale - a quaint reminder of the sugar plantation days of West Oahu.
His introduction to restaurant service happened at the Swiss Inn. This was his families restaurant that was a bonafide locals favorite.
In 2004 the newly opened Roy’s Ko’Olina welcomed this young teenager onto the team. In the following 19 years, he went from bussing tables to being named General Manager.
Taisei’s experience will drive this talk highlighting how service and passion impacts business - and life.
